Determined pup

Last night as I was chatting with DH, the dogs decided it was time to play. This is not a good idea for a puppy only three weeks post op and on strict activity restriction. He took off at full speed after the pug, presumably forgetting he was attached to the coffee table. The next thing I knew, he was on the other side of the dining room, his leash and collar lying innocently on the carpet. Thankfully the webcam didn't have a good enough connection for DH to see me yell at and chase the dogs around.

Earlier this week, the pup chewed through the short handle of his brand new leash (it has two handles, one near the neck and one at the end).

Today, I caught him trying to squeeze out through the bottom portion of the door to his kennel when he figured out I'd only latched the top latch.

I think he's trying to tell me how he feels about this whole activity restriction thing ...

Hopefully we'll survive the next 10 weeks of recovery. :thud:

What a silly puppy. If only we could rationalize with them.

Found your blog and thought you'd appreciate this song about a little girl who asks Santa to bring her daddy home for Christmas.

She Who Waits

Who exactly is she?

Among other definitions, I am someone who has fallen head over heels for a Marine infantry officer. I dabble in photography, love animals, help manage several websites, love to write, read and enjoy the world around me whenever I am able.

This blog was started as a personal outlet while the aforementioned Marine was deployed to Iraq early in our relationship. I decided to continue posting periodically after he made it safely home. Three months into our marriage he has returned to Iraq for another tour, and I continue to write.
