1st night in Paris
After a long train ride, difficult time getting on the Metro (thanks to the lack of a microchip which European credit cards now use and the lack of Euro coins), and then difficulties finding our hotel, we made it to Paris. A lovely older lady went out of her way to help us find our hotel, including walking a few blocks to find a map and eventually going into a restaurant to get directions for us. She spoke nearly no English, at that. So far we haven't run into the anti-American sentiment you often hear about, people have been quite gracious.
Amsterdam was cut out due to time and our host's family emergency back in the States, but hopefully we can catch a bit of the city before we fly home.
I snapped a few shots this evening and wanted to share.

1st meal. Fabulous.

Cafe where we had our first cup of coffee.

Same cafe as above

The husband keeps laughing at my sheer excitement and random outbursts of joy.
More to come! Off to bed!

The louvre is free every 4th Sunday of the month, but tons of ppl go and the lack of personal bibble is tiring. HAVE FUN!
And you know, I didn't get a SINGLE anti-American sentiment while I was in Paris OR Québec. But then again, I am from Louisiana most people recognise the French ties.
If you have time, GET A MACARON! Soooo tasty.
And I'm jealous. And, wow, did that first photo make me drool. Where's the mop?

His friends laughed hyserically, I speak German but I seriously SUCK at French.
