I stole Angelina Jolie's lips.

At least that's what it looked like when I looked in the mirror the past two mornings. :thud:

We went to an air show on Sunday and were in the 100 degree heat for most of the day. I was slathering sunscreen and addicted to my SPF 15 lip balm, but my lips still managed to burn. In the mornings, they look as if someone injected collagen into them and hurt like the dickens. I have family in town hanging out at the beach but I'm going to have to figure out a way to stay out of the sun for a few days, apparently.

I'm off to find some pure aloe or vitamin E and put that on my lips, size some more photos from the air show to share, and then head to the beach house the fam rented. No more sun for me. :bye:

People pay some good money for that - try to enjoy! :P

Time to bust out the big, floppy beach hat, or giant umbrella. Hope you are feeling back to normal soon, and can still enjoy the time with your fam.

That's what I often tell people on military support sites - if you're sad, allow yourself to be sad. It's normal, it's natural, and it's necessary. Wallow if it's a wallowing day! Good moods are allowed to "be" - the bad days should be given equal respect. Feeling guilty or trying to fake it away just adds a different and heavier negativity to it.

Sorry! I meant to leave that on a different entry you wrote about a bad day. Whoops.

She Who Waits

Who exactly is she?

Among other definitions, I am someone who has fallen head over heels for a Marine infantry officer. I dabble in photography, love animals, help manage several websites, love to write, read and enjoy the world around me whenever I am able.

This blog was started as a personal outlet while the aforementioned Marine was deployed to Iraq early in our relationship. I decided to continue posting periodically after he made it safely home. Three months into our marriage he has returned to Iraq for another tour, and I continue to write.
