I'm a Godmother! (Again!)
Just a warning, this post is picture heavy! ![]()
First, allow me to show you my oh so adorable godson, Ry (name shortened for bloggy purposes):
The first time I got to see him, at six weeks old:

One year old:

I went to Orlando again to see him.
Two years old:

He and his mom came up to NC to see me (and my chinchillas).
Almost four years old:

We were within driving distance for a school Charlie was going to, so they came to see us. The younger one is Ry's sister Rae, at six months old.
And a couple of recent photos Ry's mom took:

The first is him doting on his youngest sister, born June 3.
Our upcoming move will put us about two and a half hours from where they live now, the closest we'll have ever been.
It will be short, but I plan to soak up all the time I can get with Ry and his family.
---
The downside to the move will be leaving my brand new little goddaughter, M.

M's parents are dear friends and it will be quite difficult to leave all three of them. The upside is that they are military, so there is always the chance of being stationed together again. I can't wait to watch M grow and change, as Ry has already done. I am so honored to be part of their lives.
P.S.
The irony in all of this is that Ry's mom Christi was of great help to M's mom over the phone in those first few days. They didn't know one another except through me, but were able to give and receive some much-needed new parent support. Everything for a reason ...
